The Messenger form on the Contacts page of your website has built-in features designed to reduce spam activity, but it's not possible to stop it completely. Spamming is often done with bots to automate the task, which is easier to catch and prevent. But if there's a real person behind the spam, the safeguards can be bypassed.
If you are getting many spam messages from the Messenger form, we recommend turning it off. To do that, log into the Control Center, then click on Widgets ⇨ Contact Messenger, select OFF under Messenger Status, then click on the Save button. The Messenger form will no longer appear on your Contacts page.
Visitors to your website can still contact you if you enter email addresses for the contacts that appear on your Contacts page. To add or edit contacts, click on Content ⇨ Contacts. Providing an email address is the best way to keep spam to a minimum because email systems have more advanced spam-fighting tools than web forms.
If you're still receiving spam even though you've turned off the Messenger form, please forward a copy of the spam to Support for assistance.
